Wrap-Up

Throwback to two years ago – Sana came up with a really fun idea: starting 30 books in 30 days. With a currently reading pile of 20 books in the beginning of May, participating in this would be a really stupid move on my part, right? Well, who cares?! I didn’t want to let this silly game pass me, so I decided to tweak it a little: reading in 30 books in 30 days? That I could do, being both able to start some new ones and trying to finish ones that have been on my CRP for years. So this is how it went …

And suddenly, everything went to hell. So unfortunately, after Jan and Feb worked out quite alright, my stats took a nosedive in March …

The first three months of the year are just the worst, but readingwise, February was alright. I didn’t make my 2,500 pages goal but I came close. The books I read were a mixed bag, though. While the rating might not show that at first glance, I had issues with almost all of them – except for my childhood favourite!

Looking back from where we are now, January feels like a lifetime ago. Back then I only had to worry that I wouldn’t get off my night owl routine after the holidays, that work would be a bit too much, and that I was running out of space for books …

October is definitely my favourite month of the year. However, with the Frankfurt Book Fair, it’s also incredibly stressful. I didn’t manage to read as much as I wanted, but there were quite a few books I really enjoyed.

The first week of September, I was off of work. Therefore, I expected to get a lot more reading done than I actually did in the end. Spending a lot of time at the stables really doesn’t help with reading, but it was nice to be able to ride every day for almost two weeks. […]

Um, apparently, I haven’t posted a Wrap-Up post since October 2015. That was ages ago. I can’t believe how much has happened since then. Anyway, the gist: two years later, I’m still awful at blogging regularly. When only considering the amont of pages read, September was an awful reading month. However, this is kind of misleading …
