I Got Tagged #2: I’m dying to read …

20th March 2014

I got tagged by the lovely Ric and I’m pretty much the last person doing it so I won’t tag anyone specifically but if you haven’t joined in and want to, feel free to do so!

The Rules

  • Name 5 books from your wishlist you really truly want to read. You are not allowed to choose sequels to novels you have already read.
  • Tag 8 bloggers and make sure to inform them.

The Books

To be honest, I’ve already preordered all of the novels I’m dying to read except for Die Seiten der Welt because it’s nowhere to be found yet.

  1. The Thousand Dollar Tan Line (Veronica Mars, #1) by Rob Thomas & Jennifer Graham

Three weeks ago, I didn’t even know what Veronica Mars was all about. Now, I’m an obsessed Marshmallow. I wasn’t even done watching the series when I preordered the novel. Although the official release date is the 25th, I already got an e-mail that it’s on its way. It should be here tomorrow – just in time to soothen my withdrawal symptoms. Seriously, I’m inclined to start watching the whole series all over again! It’s so damn good!

  2. Deception’s Princess (Deception’s Princess, #1) by Esther M. Friesner

I just love the cover and the description had me at Connacht. All you need to do to get my attention is mentioning something Irish. If I interpret the blurb right, Maeve is the Irish equivalent to Merida and I just have a thing for headstrong curly readheads (Síne <3 ). So please be awesome!

  3. Die Seiten der Welt by Kai Meyer

The only things we know about this novel so far are the following: it will come out in autumn, has a gorgeous cover, and is stylistically similar to the Merle-Trilogie (Dark Reflections/Flowing Queen Trilogy). This makes me so so so soooo excited! I love the trilogy so freaking much and really hope that this one will be equally brilliant.

  4. Black Dove, White Raven by Elizabeth Wein

I loved Code Name Verity to pieces (which is quite obvious in my very vague but spoiler-free review) and although I haven’t read Rose Under Fire yet (I’m currently not in the mood of crying my eyes out), I just had to preorder this one, too. I’m not that much into the cover but at least it matches the other two. The only thing is that I have no idea when it will be published. For this edition, it still says August, the hardcover edition, however, was moved to Feb 2015. But since it already has its cover, maybe the date’s right.

  5. We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

Basically, I have no idea what this is all about but that’s apparently how it is supposed to be. I don’t read much contemporary but Ric’s review (German only) just made me want it so badly – and I still owe her reading one of her favourite contemps since I ‘forced’ her to read A Game of Thrones. She didn’t regret it. I hope I won’t either.

  • yay! \o/

  • Hach ja, We Were Liars.
