What would my bookshelves be without the recommendations of my friends? Well, much more empty for sure and my bank account would be quite happy as well! Not complaining, though! Because if it weren’t for books, I wouldn’t have any friends at all. There are so many books and friends I could mention here, it was hard to pick, so I decided to go waaaay back. And somehow this turned out more like a walk down memory lane than a proper rec list. But hey, you get nice anecdotes out of it …

Sometimes, I abandon books right in the middle. I just lose interest. My mood changes. I’m indecisive what I actually want to read. I’m too annoyed or appalled to continue. I want to read a new release I’ve been waiting for. Or I don’t have any reason whatsoever …

Umm … I think this got kind of out of hand. Well, compared to last year’s hauls, this is barely average, but I was doing so well. And then there came May, my good intentions vanished into thin air and I got more books than in the previous two months combined. In my defense … well, what can I say. It’s just the way I am – AND I had a lot of preorders AND I had to get the last PennyGirl books because the publisher was selling out AND I had a friend over who I just had to introduce to my favourite book shop in Munich …

Do I reread books?! Hell yeah! I’m the Queen of Rereads! Last year’s reread ratio was one third, this year’s ratio is slightly higher so far. However, much has changed these last couple of months. The number of rereads has plummeted; I haven’t reread a novel in two freaking months! I really need to get back on track, but right now, I don’t see it happen (and to be honest, it’s not that bad. I have more than enough books on my TBR pile anyway). That said: here are the ten books I desperately want to reread as soon as possible …

Err … what happened? Seriously, what the hell happened?!

So, I was really down after I failed to reach my goal of reducing my TBR pile by two books in February because I sacrificed my reading time in order to sew my sister a Little Red cape for carnival. Yeah, I’m an awesome big sister, I know. Therefore, my book-buying abstinence was all for nothing. Then I went to Munich to visit Ric and went to a big book flea market. Then I realised that I hadn’t rewarded myself for finishing my bachelor thesis. Then I ordered books. And more books. Aaaaand just a couple of more books. It’s always the same. At least, I got most of them second hand thus cheap. Enjoy! …

Actually, I didn’t get tagged but I saw it on numerous blogs and decided to jump on the bandwagon. You’re supposed to name at least five of your favourite literary couples. I had a list with over twenty but decided to cut back because it really isn’t that easy to find great quotes in novels you haven’t read in the last couple of years. In some cases, I remembered what I wanted and where I could find it, in others I got lucky and just stumbled upon a great quote.
