I know, I know, I’m late. I’m always late. It’s just that I’m currently in a reading frenzy and can’t stop devouring one book after the other. Furthermore, the weather is brilliant (and almost a little too hot for my taste already) so I want to spend as much time outside as possible before I’ll have to start working in May.

So, let’s make it quick. I’m really proud that I managed to read so much over the course of this week. I thought I would utterly fail since I wasn’t in the mood for reading at all. Of the seven novels I wanted to finish, I read five and continued with the sixth. Therefore, I managed to read 1135 of 1709 pages. Additionally, I finished another novel I hadn’t on my list with about 75 pages.

All in all, I had a lot of ups and downs: I really enjoyed Deathless after all. I loved the Veronica Mars novel to pieces. I hated the ending of Die Meisterin but loved the novel so much – especially because of this ending (but I will never ever recover). I had to force myself to finish The Casual Vacancy although I did enjoy it in the end. I had a hard time with The Bone Season which was unfortunately just not my cup of tea. I had a lot of fun continuing Changeless. Das Glücksprojekt was a fun and easy little read in-between.

All in all, my currently-reading shelf is down to 9, which is a huge success. I also moved one of the novels I had on that shelf for over a year back to the to read shelf because I won’t continue it in the forseeable future.

I also loved to go on blog rounds and chatting with people. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to invest as much time as I wanted. So although I stopped by a lot of blogs almost every but at least every other day, I didn’t comment as much as I wanted to. I have to improve that next time – because there definitely will be a next time for me!
