We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
This one is our Goodreads group read for the second half of June. I’m really looking forward to reading this one. I heard so much good about it and I’m a sucker for puzzling stories. Apparently, it’s epic!
Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin, #1) by Robin LaFevers
[dt. Grave Mercy: Die Novizin des Todes (His Fair Assassin, #1)]
This is a contender for the July group read. Even if it doesn’t get chosen, I’ll read it soon. It’s on one of my 2014 tbr lists and I really need to do some catching up. I’m a sucker at fulfilling my resolutions.
Timeless (Parasol Protectorate, #5) by Gail Carriger
[dt. Sengendes Zwielicht (Lady Alexia, #5)]
Gnaaah, and suddenly there’s only one book left. I really don’t want to finish this series. It will be gravely missed. If you haven’t read Gail Carriger yet, I highly recommend checking out her novels. They’re a little weird but so funny and entertaining.
Champion (Legend, #3) by Marie Lu
[dt. Berstende Sterne (Legend, #3)]
I read Legend in a day, but it took me almost seven months to finish Prodigy. I just wasn’t in the mood for this series. Now that I finished Prodigy, I’m really back into it and want to read Champion as soon as possible before I’m losing interest again.
Magie (Die Gilde der Schwarzen Magier, #0) by Trudi Canavan
[OT: The Magician’s Apprentice (The Black Magician Trilogy, #0)]
Another series to be finished, although this one’s more of a prequel companion. But this trilogy, guys! I wasn’t into it at first but it got better and better until it was mindblowingly awesome. I love it so very much – although I’m still devastated.
Mein Freund Flicka (Flicka, #1) by Mary O’Hara
[OT: My Friend Flicka (Flicka,#1)]
This one is said to be a horse novel classic. Yes, that’s a thing. Maybe you haven’t heard about this trilogy, but Black Beauty should ring a bell. I got the whole trilogy in 2005 so it’s been on my tbr pile for ages.
The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton
[dt. Die verlorenen Spuren]
Kate Morton is my summer read. Can’t wait for all the family drama, the mysteries, the heartaches, feuds, and probably untimely deaths.
Never Fade (The Darkest Minds, #2) by Alexandra Bracken
Since the third one is coming out in October, I really should read this one. The Darkest Minds was great – an amazing dystopian road trip – and so far, they haven’t tried to reform anything. I guess that’s going to change but I still have my hopes up that the situation will be handled a little differently this time around.
Flüsternde Schatten (Libri Mortis, #1) by Peter Schwindt
[LT: Whispering Shadows (Libri Mortis, #1)]
Have I mentioned that this is my all-time favourite trilogy? No? [Of course I have, but I can’t mention it often enough] Ever since I stumbled over Indila and started listening to her amazing album on continuous loop, I want to reread this series so badly. I can’t wait to climb down into the underworld of Paris with Rosalie while listening to Indila. I get goosebumps just thinking about the awesomeness of this combination.
Anna and the French Kiss (Anna and the French Kiss, #1) by Stephanie Perkins
[dt. Herzklopfen auf Französisch]
Since I’m ‚going‘ to be in Paris anyway, I thought I’d prolong my stay by following Anna around. It’s about time anyway.
